Solar System Designer
Design and visualize your photovoltaic system
Select your nominal system voltage. Select your system size in watts. Select your solar panel size. Check the batteries checkbox if you want to include batteries in your system. Click Create System - Solar System Designer will create a high-level visualization of a photovoltaic system. Note that a real pv system will include many other essential features that are yet to be added here.
Solar Panels
Solar panels provide the energy for your photovoltaic system. Adding panels in series increases the voltage, adding them in parallel increases the amperage. So, if your nominal system voltage is higher than the output of one panel, you will need more than one panel attached in series to obtain the correct voltage. Solar System Designer does this for you automatically based on the system size, voltage and panel size you select.

Charge Controller
The charge controller connects the panels, batteries and inverter(load). It makes sure the voltage from the panels does not cause the battery to overcharge and the load on the inverter does not cause the battery to discharge too low.

Batteries
Batteries store the energy from your solar panels so that you can have power when the sun is down. Select your battery type from the list and the number of batteries you want in parallel. The number of batteries in series will be set automatically to match your system voltage.
Actual output:12v x 100ah = 1.2kwh

Inverter
The inverter converts the dc power from solar panels and batteries into ac power you can use for standard appliances in your house. The input voltage should match your system voltage, and the inverter should be able to handle the load of the ac appliances you will be running.
